My Training and Background
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a recreational therapist with adults with acquired brain injuries and their families, seniors with physical disabilities, adults with developmental delays, and people with HIV/AIDS in the LGBT community.
I earned a Masterʼs degree in Counseling and Drama Therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2001. I have since received specialized training in trauma treatment and in experiential methods, including psychodrama, EMDR, hypnotherapy, and creative arts therapies. I am a certified EMDR therapist, certified clinical hypnotherapist, and an advanced student at the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute. I am currently a member of the EMDR International Association, the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama, and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Additional Information
I have been a family caregiver for over 20 years. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening, and spoiling my dogs.
