Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I currently accept the following insurance / reimbursement:
- PPO plans that cover "out of network providers"
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Rates for Private Pay
During the Covid crisis, I am using a sliding scale fee that ranges from $110-$160 per 50 minute session. Please put yourself at the rate that you feel is appropriate for you on that scale. Longer or shorter sessions will be prorated by 15 minute increments based on your standard fee.
Because health insurance companies do not recognize sliding scales, people who have PPO insurance will be charged at a rate of $120 per session
Free 20-Minute Consult for Prospective Clients
I recognize that therapy is a significant commitment of time and money. I also believe that you will benefit most from a therapist who is a good fit for you. For those reasons, I offer prospective clients a free 20-minute consult by phone or in person. The purpose of the consult is to help determine if the services I offer are likely to meet your needs. This is NOT a therapy appointment. It is an opportunity for you to briefly describe your concerns, discuss how I might work with you, and ask any questions you may have. Following the consult, you may decide to work with me or continue looking for other services. If I do not believe that my areas of expertise will meet your needs, it is my ethical obligation to refer you to another therapist and / or recommend that you continue looking. In these cases, I will do my best to specify what types of services you may need and give you information and resources that you can use to follow up.
Payment
Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment. Credit cards are processed through PayPal on the "Make a Payment" section of this website.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
